Leadership Award

In celebration of our first twenty years, the Texas Business Leadership Council has established a Public Policy Leadership Award to honor a business leader who has exemplified the positive outcomes that can arrive at the intersection of volunteerism and public policy.

Texans for Lawsuit Reform Chairman and long-time TBLC member Dick Weekley was elected to receive the inaugural award for his tremendous positive impact on civil justice reform, education policy, the business community, and ultimately the state’s economic health.

Moving forward, the award will be known as the Richard W. Weekley Public Policy Leadership Award.

In 2016, the Texas Business Leadership Council honored Houston businessman, philanthropist, and former Chairman of the TBLC, Charles E. McMahen, with the 3rd Annual Richard W. Weekley Public Policy Leadership Award.

In 2015, the Texas Business Leadership Council honored Dallas businessman, philanthropist, and former Vice-Chairman of the TBLC, Erle Nye, with the 2nd Annual Richard W. Weekley Public Policy Leadership Award.

Congratulations Erle Nye!
